School Competitions

The central task of education is to implant a will and a facility for learning; it should produce not learned but learning people. The truly human society is a learning society, where grandparents, parents, and children are students together. In a time of drastic change it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists.

The history of the world is full of men who rose to leadership, by sheer force of self-confidence, bravery and tenacity.

The young and ignited minds are our greatest assets. The students of our school participate in various Inter School and Intra School Competitions where they not only prove their mettle but as act as tough competitors to the other participants.  Every year we are conducting several house-wise and open house competitions like Drawing, Dance, Singing, Fancy Dress, Essay and Elocution in Tamil, English and Hindi. Competitions like Handwriting, Story Telling, Thirukural, Cookery, Rangoli, Tables, Rhymes, Yoga and Quiz to bring out the hidden talents and their creativity.

The celebrations, customs and rituals of any institution reveal a great deal about its culture. Celebrations in Dharani School have become an integral part of joyful learning, community building and thought provoking processes. Religious festivals from across religions, national festivals and the festivals related to our environment are celebrated with great enthusiasm, fervor and pride. Children are exposed to the essence of the festivals through music, dance and a variety of hands on activities.

Dharani School celebrates national functions like Yoga Day, Kamarajar’s Birthday, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Youth Awakening Day, Children’s Day, Republic Day, Farewell Day, Sports and Festivals… Students are trained for the Inter- School Competitions by the Departmental Clubs, which enable the students to win prizes and bring laurels to the school.

Saluting the Nations:  Our School celebrated National Fests like Independence Day and Republic Day on August 15th & January 26th with great enthusiasm and fervor. Our Chairman and trustee members added brightness and brilliance to the celebrations with their presence. The students engaged with colourful programmes and salute the nation with pride.
